About this world clock

Working with people in other countries means constantly asking what time it is there. This world clock shows the live local time in the cities you choose, using your browser’s up-to-date time-zone database, so daylight saving changes are handled automatically. Each city shows its date and UTC offset, how many hours it is ahead of or behind you, and whether it is daytime, dawn or dusk, or night, worked out from the sun’s actual position at the city’s coordinates rather than fixed hours. A ribbon shows the city’s day and night across 24 hours, and the meeting planner lines up the coming hours in every city, with working hours marked, to help you find a time that suits everyone.

How to use the world clock

  1. Choose your cities. Tick the cities you need, use the search box to find one quickly, or press a ready-made board.
  2. Press Show world clock. Read the live times, the difference from your time, and the day or night badge for each city.
  3. Plan a meeting. Look down a column of the meeting planner to find an hour inside working hours everywhere, then copy a share link for your team.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Times come from your browser’s time-zone database, which includes daylight saving rules for every city, so offsets change automatically on the right dates.

How is day or night decided?

From the sun’s height above the horizon at the city’s location. Above the horizon is daytime, up to 6° below is dawn or dusk (civil twilight), and lower than that is night.

Why are some time differences not whole hours?

Some places use half-hour or quarter-hour offsets, such as India (UTC+5:30) and Nepal (UTC+5:45), so the difference from you can be 30 or 45 minutes off the hour.

How do I find a good meeting time?

In the meeting planner, look for a column where every city’s hour has a green underline, which marks 9:00 to 18:00 local time.

Can I save my list of cities?

Press Copy share link and bookmark the link or send it to others. Opening it restores the same cities.
