About this time zone converter

Scheduling a call across continents means juggling different offsets from UTC, daylight saving rules that start on different dates, and the chance that the meeting falls on another day for someone. This converter does the work with the time zone database built into your browser, so every result reflects the rules in force on the date you choose. Pick the time in one city and see it in up to three others, with each city’s offset, whether daylight saving is active, and any change of date. The meeting planner then lays out the whole day hour by hour and highlights hours inside everyone’s office hours.

How to convert a time between time zones

Frequently asked questions

Is daylight saving time taken into account?

Yes. The offset is worked out for the exact date you choose, so a New York to London conversion in late March or late October, when the two cities change clocks on different weekends, is still correct.

Why do some cities have half-hour offsets?

Some countries set their clocks between whole hours, such as India at UTC+05:30 and Nepal at UTC+05:45. The converter shows these exactly, so a 9:00 New York meeting is 18:30 in Mumbai in October.

What does next day or previous day mean?

It shows that the converted time falls on a different calendar date. For example, 8:00 on Saturday in Tokyo is still Friday afternoon in Los Angeles.

What happens to a time skipped by daylight saving?

When clocks jump forward, one hour does not exist, such as 01:30 on the last Sunday of March in London. The converter warns you and uses the next valid time.

How does the meeting planner choose office hours?

It treats 9:00 to 17:00 local time as office hours in every city, regardless of weekends or holidays, and marks the rows where all chosen cities are inside that window.
