About this text repeater

Repeating text by hand is slow and easy to get wrong. This tool makes any number of copies of a word, sentence, or several lines, up to 10,000 at a time, and joins them with a separator you choose, from new lines and commas to tabs or your own string. Numbering can be added before or after each copy in several styles, and the {n} placeholder puts the running number anywhere inside the text, which is handy for test data such as [email protected]. Letter case can be changed too. Everything runs in your browser, and the result can be copied or downloaded as a text file.

How to repeat text

  1. Enter your text. Type a word, phrase, or several lines. Add {n} where you want a running number.
  2. Set the options. Choose the number of copies, the separator, the letter case, and numbering with its position and starting number.
  3. Press Repeat text. Copy the result or download it as a .txt file. The tiles show the number of characters, words, and lines.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I repeat text?

Up to 10,000 times, as long as the result stays under 5 million characters. That keeps the page responsive and the result easy to copy.

What does {n} do?

It is replaced by the number of each copy. “Item {n}” repeated three times gives Item 1, Item 2, and Item 3, and you can choose a different starting number.

How do I repeat text on separate lines?

Choose New line as the separator, which is the default. For a single line, pick Space or Comma and space instead.

Can I use my own separator?

Yes. Choose Custom and type any characters, such as “ - ” or “; ”. Write \n for a line break and \t for a tab.

Can I repeat several lines at once?

Yes. Paste a block of text and each copy will contain the whole block. A New line separator then puts the copies one after another.
