About this fancy text generator

Social media profiles and chat apps do not let you pick a font, but they do accept any Unicode character. Unicode contains full alphabets that look like bold, italic, script, gothic, and double-struck letters, as well as letters in circles and squares, so text written with them keeps its style wherever you paste it. This generator rewrites your text in more than 30 of those alphabets and decorations at once. Letters, and digits where a style has them, are converted; everything else stays as you typed it.

How to make fancy text

  1. Type your text. Type a name, a bio line, or a short phrase, or press an example.
  2. Press Generate fancy text. Every style appears in a list below.
  3. Copy your favorite. Press Copy next to a style and paste it into your profile, post, or message.

Frequently asked questions

Will the fancy text work on Instagram, X, and Discord?

Yes. The styles are real Unicode characters, not images or fonts, so they paste into bios, posts, usernames that allow Unicode, and messages on nearly every platform.

Why do some characters show as boxes?

A device shows a box when none of its installed fonts has that character. Bold, italic, and bubble letters display almost everywhere; rarer styles such as squared letters may not on older phones.

Can screen readers read fancy text?

Often not well. Screen readers may read each character's Unicode name or skip it, so avoid fancy fonts for important information and keep them to decoration.

Why are digits and accented letters not changed in every style?

Unicode only defines styled versions of plain A–Z letters and, for some styles, digits. Accented letters, other scripts, and punctuation have no styled forms, so they are left as typed.

Will search engines find my fancy text?

Usually not as the plain word. π‡πžπ₯π₯𝐨 is made of different characters than Hello, so do not use fancy fonts in page titles, names you want people to search for, or email subject lines.
