About this anagram generator
An anagram rearranges all the letters of a word to make another word, as listen becomes silent, enlist, and tinsel. This generator checks your letters against an English word list of about 190,000 words from 2 to 10 letters and also finds every shorter word that fits, which helps with Scrabble, Words with Friends, crosswords, and word games. Each letter can be used only as many times as it appears. Full anagrams are highlighted, results can be sorted by length or alphabetically, and any word copies with a click. The All letter arrangements mode lists every distinct ordering of the letters, whether or not it is a word. The word list loads once, then everything runs in your browser.
How to find anagrams
- Enter a word or letters. Type a word, or the letters from your game rack, up to 10 letters. Case does not matter.
- Press Find anagrams. Dictionary words are listed by length, longest first. Full anagrams that use every letter are highlighted.
- Sort, filter, and copy. Show only one word length, switch to alphabetical order, click a word to copy it, or copy the whole list.
