About OMGToolbox

OMGToolbox is a collection of free, single-purpose tools for working with text and code. Paste your text, press one button, and copy the result.

What you can do here

The tools cover everyday text jobs: counting words and characters, cleaning up line breaks and spaces, changing letter case, sorting and comparing lists, extracting emails and links, formatting JSON, YAML, and SQL, and encoding text as Base64, URL encoding, or HTML entities.

Every tool does one job, has its own page, and explains its exact rules, such as what counts as a word or how a line is compared, in the FAQ on that page.

Your text stays in your browser

The tools run as JavaScript on your device. The text you paste and the files you open are processed in your browser and are not sent to our server or stored by us. You do not need an account, and there is nothing to install.

How we build and check the tools

Each tool is written and tested on its own. Before a tool goes live, we run it against typical input and against the edge cases its FAQ describes, such as punctuation, emoji, empty lines, and very long text. When we fix a rule or add an option, the tool page and its FAQ are updated together.

New tools are listed on the Recently added page, newest first.

Free to use

All tools are free for personal and commercial work, with no sign-up and no usage limits beyond what your browser can handle.
